In this monograph, innovative economy is understood as an economic system governed by the rules of a gamę elaborated by Joseph A. Schumpeter in his evolutionary vision of economic development driven by innovations (Schumpeter 1912). Studying of this economic system in the conceptual apparatus of the Arrow-Debreu theory of general equilibrium and its extensions defines the theoretical core of our research programme, which was initiated in the 1990‘s (Malawski 1999), developed later and is continued in the present monograph.
